Overview

The Wat Pho is one of the oldest temples in Bangkok and is located near the ‘Grand Palace’. The statue of the Buddha is in reclining position and is around 46 meters long and is covered with gold leaf. This temple is in fact the center or the birth place of traditional Thai massage.

Tourists can opt for a traditional Thai massage at the temples traditional medical and massage school. Another highlight of this temple is that it is home to around 1000 Buddha images. Many here try to gain knowledge and learn about the traditional Thai medicine and massage.
