Visit the Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn)

Overview

This temple is located near the Grand Palace at a walking distance, beside the charming Chao Phraya River. The Wat Arun temple is named ‘Aruna’ who is the Indian God of Dawn. The temple looks fascinating standing tall, which is around 70 meter tall and is covered with gold leaf and small pieces of Chinese porcelain and colored glass has been placed intricately, showcasing one of the skilled works of the Thai artisans. Once you reach the top of the temple you will be able to get a glimpse of the stunning views of the Chao Phraya River.

The Wat Arun temple simply looks enchanting in the evening time, when the temple is lit with lights. In fact while landing in Bangkok Airport at night, you can get the dazzling views of this temple.
