Water taxi ride in Bangkok is available in the Chao Phraya River; this river is located in almost through the outer part of the city. In fact the most popular landmarks like the Grand Palace, Wat Arun, and Asiatique the Riverfront are located near the riverside of the Chao Phraya River.

  • In the Chao Phraya River, water taxis or Express Boats are available to explore the riverside. Each boat is colored according to the routes provided.
  • The orange flag boats operate through Nonthaburi Pier in the north to Wat Rajsingkorn Pier in the south. The stoppage along this route includes Tha Chang Pier for visiting the Grand Palace and Tha Tien Pier for visiting the Wat Arun.
  • The blue flag boats are specially designated for the tourists. The ticket price offered is a day pass for the whole day. Also, an English commentator on board is provided.

Different access points: Tha Chang Pier (near to the Grand Palace), Sathorn Pier (near to BTS Saphan Taksin Station), Tha Tien Pier (near to Wat Arun temple).
By BTS: If you want to enjoy a water taxi ride, take the BTS Skytrain to Saphan Taksin Station, and head towards the Sathorn Pier, from here you can take the water taxi ride to different routes.
