Start your day with a visit to the Wat Traimit located in the bustling Chinatown area of Bangkok; this temple is famous as it houses the largest Golden Buddha statue. The statue is around 10 feet tall and weighs around 5 tons and was built in between 13th-14th centuries, during the era of Sukhothai. To hide it from the invaders, it was covered with plaster, later in the 1950’s, it came to notice that the statue is made of Gold, when it was unintentionally dropped while relocating the statue.
Head to visit the Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho, which is a giant Buddha, covered in gold leaf in the lying position.
Next have a tour of the Grand Palace, which was the former residence of the king of Thailand, from King Rama I to King Rama V. It has many buildings, courtyards, gardens, halls, and temples. Within the complex of Grand Palace is the Wat Phra Kaew temple which comprises of a meditating Buddha made of Green Emerald.

The aquarium comprises of marine life like seahorse, sharks, dolphins, jellyfish, big size octopus, crocodiles, penguins, deadly snakes, etc. One of the highlight of this aquarium is that visitors can engage in glass-bottom boat ride or have a 4D cinema experience.

It was the capital of Siam Kingdom from 1351 till the Burmese army destroyed the city in 1767. Tourists can explore around the ruins of this ancient city. The complex comprises ruins of temples, palaces and statues.
Start your exploration in Ayutthaya with a visit to Wat Mahathat temple which comprise of the Buddha’s head tangled in tree roots. Get stunned by the beauty of the pagodas, stupas, and relics, which were once grand and had religious importance.
Next visit, Wat Phra Si Sanphet which is the royal temple, in fact it was the largest temple in Ayutthaya, used as the royal temple. It had grand three stupas (chedis) and once housed a 16-meter golden Buddha statue, but during the invasion of the Burmese army it was melted down.
Head to explore the Wat Phra Ram temple which is famous for its towering prang (in Khmer style spire), the Wat Lokayasutharam is famous for the large reclining Buddha statue and the Wat Chaiwatthanaram is beautiful temple located near the riverside temple.
The half-day trip in Ayutthaya ends with a return to the hotel. Have your lunch at the hotel and check-out to transfer back to Bangkok for a flight to Chiang Mai at Donmueng Airport.

Upon arrival in Chiang Mai, you will be welcomed, picked up by the tour guide and driver to take you to visit Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, which is famous for the statue of the seven headed snake, it lines all the 306 stairs present. The temple complex has a museum and souvenir shop, where you can walk around and have a look.

Next head to Wat Chedi Luang (AD 1411), which is famous for the largest stupa (known as chedi), overlooking the city. However the origin height of the stupa was reduced due to an earthquake in 1545. This temple was also the original home of the Emerald Buddha, which was later taken to Bangkok, what now a stand is a replica.
Later, visit the Wat Phra Singh temple (AD 1345), which has 1500 year old Buddha statue and Wat Suan Dok (AD 1371), where the ashes of Chiang Mai's Royal Family are interred.
After visiting the temples head to the ‘monk-chat’ area, wherein the visitors will have a chance to interact with the monks and know more about the religion.

Once you reach the top of the mountain you will get mesmerized by the scenic views. Explore the cave, see the large shinning Buddha statue, and the tiger prints (for which the temple was named after).
